AGROTECHNOLOGIES
The paper presents the results of the research on the influence of different methods of basic soil cultivation on the grain yield of winter triticale under the conditions of the Central zone of Belarus. It was established that the highest grain yield of this crop (47.9 c/ha) was obtained with zero tillage or zero deep tillage, carried out against the background of moldboard plowing for the preceding crop. Minimizing of soil cultivation reduced the yield of winter triticale by 0.4–9.5 %, and a reliable decrease in that indicator was only achieved when plowing was replaced by shallow tillage and direct sowing into uncultivated soil.
The article summarizes the results of studies on the effectiveness of the microbiological fertilizer SPA-3P1 in sugar beet crops in the Republic of Belarus for hybrids cultivated using standard technology and hybrids cultivated using smart technology with the use of the herbicide Convizo 1, MD. The studies have shown that the use of the studied fertilizer reduces the prevalence and development of root beetle of seedlings, increases the density of seedlings, the yield of root crops and the sugar yield per hectare.
The article presents the results of the research on the influence of fertilizer systems on the yield of green mass of sorghum-sudan hybrid at the stage of panicle emergence, milk-wax stage and after grass stage. With the mineral fertilizer system on sod-podzolic sandy loam soil the yield of green mass of sorghum-sudan hybrid increases on average by 31 %, organic – by 14 %, organo-mineral – by 32 %. The efficiency of applying manure and combined organic and mineral fertilizers is 19% higher on medium-cultivated soil compared to soil with a high level of cultivation with singleuse and harvesting at different stages of mowing maturity.
SELECTION
It’s established that cold pretreatment of winter rape donor plants increases their embryogenic capacity more than four times and is more effective than pretreatment of donor buds. It’s shown that the number of passages depends on the variety specificity and the direction of explant development upon transplantation to rhizogenic medium. It’s identified that CMS sources either lack embryogenic activity, as do samples X 5/20 and X 7/20, or demonstrate it to a weak degree. The callusogenic activity of CMS sources is significantly higher and observed in all the studied samples.
PLANT PROTECTION
The article presents the results of studying the biological and economic efficiency of the herbicide Aquilon, SC (isoproturon, 500 g/l + diflufenican, 100 g/l) applied to winter wheat in autumn under the conditions of the Republic of Belarus. Based on the conducted research, it was established that pre-emergence application of the herbicide Aquilon, SC to winter wheat in autumn and during vegetation at the rate of 0.75–1.0 l/ha was effective against annual dicotyledonous and cereal weeds. The reduction in infestation of crops with annual dicotyledonous weeds before crop emergence was 98.0–99.3 %, annual cereal weeds – 92.0–100 %, at the tillering stage – 99.3–99.5 and 86.3–100 %.
The article presents the results of long-term studies on the biological efficiency of suppression of stroma germination on ergot sclerotia (Claviceps purpurea (Fr.) Tul. (CLAVPU)), conducted on the experimental field of the Institute of Plant Protection in 2010–2025. During the research it was identified that with regard to ergot the biological efficiency of the preparations containing active substances from chemical classes (dithiocarbamates, methylbenzimidazolecarbamates, strobilurins, carboxamides, azoles, phenylpyrroles), permitted for the use on the territory of the Republic of Belarus, was at a high level and amounted to, on average, 78.0–100%.
Under 2024–2025 conditions, a comparative assessment of forecasting the main stages of the development of fungus Venturia inaequalis, apple scab agent, was carried out using a regression equation (The Institute of Plant Protection) and the iMetos weather station model. The results showed that at thebeginning of V. inaequalis ascospores maturation the deviation was 0–1 day and 13–24 days, respectively, in Minsk region and 1 and 6 days, respectively, in Grodno region; at the beginning of summer V. inaequalis ascospores - 2–8 and 14–38 days in Minsk region and 1–3 and 5 days in Grodno region.
It was proven that on the 21st day after repeated application of the Apex, OEC, the number of whiteflies on the plants continued to be contained to an economically imperceptible level, primarily due to the regulating effect on the development and reproduction of the phytophage. The biological efficiency of both doses of Apex, OEC reached 91.5-96.1. The use of that preparation made it possible to obtain additionally 1.0-1.2 kg/m2 of yield, or 4.1-6.1 % to the option without treatment.

The paper presents the results of the research on the impact of green manure crops on the cultivation of soil in greenhouses, yield and quality of tomatoes.
The paper demonstrates the results of the research on the foliar application of humic-containing fertilizers HumilandCu and Humiland Zn in a dose of 1.5 l/ha. The yield increase of greens was 10.8-11.0 t/ha or 65-66 %.
