In October 1998, the first issue of the journal was published under the name “Plant Protection”.

In 2002, the journal was included in the list of scientific publications by the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus for the publication of research results by applicants for the scientific degrees of Doctor and Candidate of Sciences.

The publication has gained fame and popularity not only in Belarus, but also abroad. Therefore, since January 2013, the journal has been published under the name "Crop Farming and Plant Protection", and also included in the subscription catalogues of Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.

The activation of innovative processes in the key sectors of the agrarian complex - agriculture and crop production - led to the expansion of the subject matter of the publication. In 2020, the journal received its updated title "Сrop Farming and Plant Growing ".
